Beginners Neurofeedback Course

An introductory course on the theory and
practice of Neurofeedback.

run over two weekend's
in London.

The first weekend will be 22th & 23th of
November 2008.
And the second will be 29th and 30th on November 2008.

and waveforms

· The neural
anatomy of attention and arousal

|
· The international
10-20 electrode placement system
|

· Intake/assessment
procedure for protocol selection

· and running
a session with practical hands-on experience

The object of this training
course is to present a comprehensive approach to the clinical
application of Neurofeedback. The course is intended for
clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists,
educators, educational therapists, clinical social workers,
rehabilitation specialists, and academic researchers in
neurophysiology and biofeedback practitioners.

The course covers the meaning of the brainwaves
that make up the EEG, the neurophysiology and psychology
of learning and memory, cognition and executive functions,
circadian rhythms (sleep/wake cycles), stress, emotion and
mood disorders, optimun arousal and creativity. Clinical
intake/assessment will be discussed in detail and questionnaires
provided for you to use with your clients if you wish. Included
too, is practical hands-on experience of Neurofeedback equipment
and the chance to experience the training for yourself.

Upon completion of the course, attendees
will have gained a clear overview of the capabilities
of the Neurofeedback process, how to evaluate clients
with respect to neurofeedback treatment, how to choose
an appropriate EEG biofeedback protocol and implement
it on computerised instrumentation.Some theory and psychometrics
can be tailored to individual practice i.e. psychotherapy,
special needs, brain injury etc. We recommend additional
courses and clinical consultation following this initial
course.
