As the nights draw in,
we will be putting on our traditional Autumn
Course for beginners to the field of Neurofeedback.
The object of this training course is to present
a comprehensive approach to the clinical application
of Neurofeedback and to give you the chance
to evaluate some of the equipment and techniques
commonly used.

| This is a unique opportunity
to learn both theory and practice of neurofeedback
from world leaders while holidaying on the Mediterranean
coast. Spend 2 weeks with children and adults
who are receiving neurofeedback while also on
holiday. This therapeutic holiday is organized
by, Dr Beverely and Tony Steffert, Professor Juri
Kropotov and Dr. Wyte Van de Zwaag, |
|
The course is divided into
clinical, theoretical and practical and you
will get a chance to work a long side a therapist
with the clients. The clients will all have
a QEEG recorded and then interpreted by Professor
Kropotov. This guides the Neurofeedback protocols.
Opportunities to talk to the children, parents
and Neurofeedback practitioners will allow a
course participant a unique perspective on the
whole process of neurofeedback from all viewpoints.
Lectures for parents on nutrition, parenting
and stress reduction techniques are also open
to course delegates.

| In April we have Professor
Juri Kropotov, Director of Laboratory for Neurobiology
of Action Programming, Institute of the Human
Brain of Russian Academy of Sciences in St Peterburg,
coming to London to run an "advanced course" in
Neurofeedback, qEEG and transcranial direct current
stimulation. |
|
We usually have someone
else to present on a specific topic of relevance.
Last year (2007) with Juri it was Dr Andreas
Mueller from Chur in Switzerland. He presented
his research on the electrophysiology of ADHD
children using qEEG's and ERP's. The year before
(2006) we had Dr Curtis Cripe from the Crossroads
institute in the USA, showing some of the work
he does with foetal reflexes, Neurofeedback
and qEEG. In 2005 Dr Lesley Parkinson, probably
the most experienced Neurofeedback practitioner
in the UK, shared some of her fascinating insights
on the treatment of brain injuries with Neurofeedback.
